I’m always on the look out for home decor inspiration and I found it last week as I was travelling with my husband for work. We stay in 2 or 3 different hotels or b&b’s every week and this week our bedroom had this great headboard:
A set of old, vintage double doors. Throughout the hotel, more door and window frames had been used as features but unfortunately I didn’t have my phone or camera to take any more shots. But it did get me thinking about using doors or windows for decorating and I want to share a few of my favourites.
Here old louvre doors have been used as a feature behind a sofa. I love the neutral colours in this living room, but it’s definitely not boring!
In this photo, an old door has been turned into a chair!
Although this is dressed for Christmas, a similar look could be used all year round with different accessories.
Here old window frames have been used as a great way to display photographs.
This headboard is made from a 90 year old door!
I think I need to start scouring the junk shops!
I love the rooms you pulled together as inspiration — especially the one with old louvre doors used behind the sofa. ❤️
