Not sure why only half of this was published yesterday but here is the full monty:
As you know, we are moving through our house (albeit at a snail’s pace!), renovating each room. The downstairs loo (here), is the only room completed, with the laundry (here) ready to be completed within the next couple of weeks. So the next place I need to think about is our new home office. This is what it looks like at the minute:
In this photo you can see the bi-fold doors which we have installed, which lead straight onto the garden so this end of the room lends itself to a small seating area for drinking coffee and reading.
These doors will be knocked out, making the home office and living room open plan. Note to self: must keep my side of the desk tidy now!
We have more or less decided on white office furniture with space for two desks or one long one. These or something similar are what I’m thinking right now:
This one is from Ikea and is the set up I will be aiming for, but with comfy chairs, as we both spend a lot of time at he computer. The desk chairs I’m loving are these:
I prefer the lighter grey striped one, which will fit better with the look I’m going for.
These are the storage units I’m thinking of as we need lots of storage and I prefer everything to be hidden away!
Now for the fun part! The comfy chairs;I’m thinking these in pink
And then lots of pink and gold accessories like these:
Now I need to share these ideas with hubby – I think they may turn out differently when you see the room plan with his input! Oh well , a girl can dream…
Or he may see this as a compromise, if we add some touches of blue!
The inclusion of a large rug in pink and navy ties it all together (here)
