I don’t know about you, but before I commit to buying a piece of furniture I like to look at all of the options. At the minute I’m on the look out for a coffee table for my new home office (see blog post here). I will be having two armchairs (hopefully pink, if hubby agrees!), so I’m going to place a coffee table in between but I’m currently undecided between rectangular or round. In this post, I’m going to share my five favourite rectangular white coffee tables. These are my main criteria part from being white.
- Pretty – it must be pretty to look at distract from the functional office furniture.
- Hard wearing – it must be able to withstand coffee cups, books and candles!
- Versatile – I am prone to change my mind about colour schemes and themes, so preferable should be able to fit with any decor.
These are my faves so far:
This one from Wayfair is both good to look at and functional. I like the mix of wood and white, which would match both my oak flooring and white office furniture. The drawers are also useful to hide away coasters and magazines to keep things looking tidy.
A glass topped table like this one from Maisons du Monde, would be easy to clean and hard wearing. Glass is a also a good surface to showcase your favourite decorative items.
This picture does not do this table from Next justice! It has metal legs and a contemporary marble top. Both hardwearing and pretty!
A little pricier than the others, this one from West Elm is very glam! With a white marble top and mirrored shelf, it has plenty of surface area and the gold metal legs match the pink and gold theme I’m aiming for.
This is a budget coffee table from IKEA which is a good option for me, as I wouldn’t feel I had to live with it for years and years if I wanted a change! Hardwearing as it has a laminate MDF top and practical with a shelf underneath.
These are my choices for rectangular tables, next week I will look at the round options!
