As the nights are getting chillier, it’s time to change from lightweight summer bedding, to something warmer and more cosy. And there lies the problem; I’m always cold and hubby is always hot! The answer is to use lots of layers and natural materials where possible.
I have this goose feather and down all seasons duvet which is a 3 in1 duvet which can be adapted to suit the season.
It consists of both 4.5 and 9 togs duvets which fasten together to make an overall 15 tog duvet, ideal for those cold winter nights. At the minute, thats even too warm for me so I have use the 9 tog duvet on the bed, with the lighter one used as throw on the bottom of the bed.
The good thing about feather and down fillings is that they are natural insulators so keep you warm, but are breathable so take moisture away from you when you sleep.
It’s always nice to change your bedding for something warmer in the Autumn months, and I love this set from Next.
It’s a lovely cosy brushed cotton – perfect for this chilly nights.
Throws and cushions also help to make your bed cosy and inviting, without adding extra warmth where it’s not wanted! This pom pom throw is a nice lightweight knit for this time of year.
Add lots of texture with a range of cushions, even if your hubby just throws them on the floor like mine does!
