Single bedroom mood board

As you know, we are in the process of renovating our whole house. Progress has been slow as hubby is doing all of the work himself. Most of downstairs is finished, so I am beginning to think about redecorating the bedrooms. We are turning one of our four bedrooms into a guest shower room so will be left with two double bedrooms and one single room. The single room will be having the first make over.

I haven’t decided if I will replace the furniture; it seems a shame to buy new furniture when there’s nothing wrong with what we have, albeit it doesn’t really suit my taste now.  So for now, the single bed and wardrobe will stay!

Here are a few shots of what we have at the minute.

We will be replacing all of the carpets upstairs with oak flooring, the same as downstairs, so I want to keep the walls white to make the space light and airy. You may have noticed that most of my rooms are grey and pink, and this one will be no exception. But, wait for it, I will also be introducing another colour! For this colour scheme, I decided to start with art. These two prints are from  Wallzilla

To create a cohesive scheme, I decided to use these prints and create a mood board around them. I’ve used mood boards successfully before; you can see here my Hall mood board and Dining room mood board

Now for all I’ve created this mood board, I don’t intend to rush out and buy everything immediately; I intend to keep this board for a few weeks and keep revisiting it. This will give me chance to see if I stumble across anything else I want to add to it or swap some of the items if I change my mind. Also, when the prints arrive , the colours may not be as I’m expecting!

I won’t give you a long source list here, but instead will add these items to my “Shop my style” section, which you can find at the top of my home page.

Don’t forget to check back in a few weeks and see if I have stuck to this, or changed things up!
